How it works
From your word to a listing.
The whole process is one short form at /find-a-producer/apply. You tell us what you grow, raise, or make, how you handle your soil, animals, and ingredients, and you commit to the Good Soil Standard. A few photos help.
What happens after submit.We read every submission personally and respond within 14 days. If it's a fit, your operation goes live in the public Find a Producer directory and the GSS app as Good Soil Pledged — your practices, stated in your own words, tied to your name.
About Good Soil Verified.Verified is the premium tier, earned when someone from GSS has personally visited and confirmed your practices match your claim. It's a recognition, not an obligation — there's no quota and no promised timeline, and Pledged is an honest, permanent home on its own. Growers who already hold a credible outside certification (ROC, AGW (A Greener World), Real Organic Project, or Demeter Biodynamic) can fast-track to Verified on opt-in.
What we publish. If approved, your business name, story, products, location, and tier appear publicly. Application materials and internal notes never become public. There are no producer fees, and no commission on your sales — ever.
